GoalPrevail Trust Icons – User Guide
Add customizable trust badges, payment icons and sales boosters to your WooCommerce product pages.
1. What this plugin does
GoalPrevail Trust Icons helps WooCommerce stores build customer confidence at the point of purchase. It displays reassuring trust badges, accepted payment methods and optional sales boosters near the Add to Cart area.
- Custom trust badges — add your own headings and supporting text.
- 37 built-in trust icons — choose icons for shipping, guarantees, secure payments, returns, support and more.
- Flexible layouts — display icons beside the text or above it, with individual item widths.
- Payment icons — show 17 built-in payment methods or upload your own badge images.
- Sales boosters — display estimated viewers, dispatch countdowns, stock notices and past-purchase totals.
- Multiple placements — position each section around the WooCommerce Add to Cart area or elsewhere in the product summary.
- Shortcodes — manually place trust badges and payment icons inside compatible content areas.
The plugin is designed for WooCommerce product pages. WooCommerce must be installed and active before the plugin can be activated.
2. Requirements and installation
2.1 Requirements
- WordPress 6.5 or newer
- PHP 7.4 or newer
- WooCommerce 6.0 or newer
- Administrator access
2.2 Installation

goalprevail-trust-iconsfolder to/wp-content/plugins/, or use Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. - Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- Activate GoalPrevail Trust Icons.

New installations begin with three trust badges:
- 100% Satisfaction
- Money-Back Guarantee
- Free Shipping
3. Where to configure the plugin
All plugin settings are available under:
GoalPrevail Plugins → Trust Icons
The direct administration URL is:
admin.php?page=goalprevail-trust-icons
The settings screen contains four tabs:
- Icons & text — create, reorder and position your trust badges.
- Boosters — configure viewer, shipping, stock and purchase messages.
- Payment icons — select accepted payment methods or upload custom badges.
- Style — customize icon sizes, colors, text and framing.
A live preview appears beside the settings and updates while you configure the plugin. Use Open larger preview for a more detailed product-page preview.
4. Creating the trust bar
- Open the Icons & text tab.
- Enable Show the trust bar.
- Configure the existing trust items or click Add an icon.
- Select an icon for each item.
- Enter a heading and optional supporting text.
- Choose the width of each item.
- Drag the move handle to reorder items.
- Choose the item layout and alignment.
- Select where the trust bar should appear.
- Click Save changes.
The master switch controls automatic product-page placement. Turning it off removes the automatically inserted trust bar without deleting your configured items.
5. Configuring trust items
Each trust item contains the following settings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Icon | Select one of the built-in single-color line icons. |
| Heading | The main trust message, such as “Free Shipping” or “Secure Checkout.” |
| Sub-text | An optional supporting line, such as “On qualifying orders.” |
| Width | Controls how much horizontal space the item occupies. |
| Reorder | Drag the move handle to change the item’s position. |
| Remove | Deletes the item from the trust bar after the settings are saved. |
5.1 Available widths
- 25% — suitable for four items per row.
- 33% — suitable for three items per row.
- 50% — suitable for two items per row.
- 100% — displays the item across the full row.
Different widths can be combined. For example, two items can use 50% width while a longer message uses 100% width underneath them.
5.2 Item layouts
- Icon beside the text — displays the icon on the left and the text on the right.
- Icon above the text — displays a centered icon above its heading and sub-text.
5.3 Alignment
- Left — aligns the trust items and text to the left.
- Centre — centers the trust items and their text.
Keep trust messages short and accurate. Clear phrases such as “30-Day Returns” are easier to scan than long sentences.
6. Product-page placement
The trust bar, payment icons and boosters have separate placement controls. Each section can use one of the following WooCommerce positions:
| Position | WooCommerce location |
|---|---|
| Right under the Add to Cart button | Immediately after the button inside the Add to Cart form. |
| Below the Add to Cart area | After the complete Add to Cart form, including the quantity and button. |
| Above the Add to Cart area | Immediately before the Add to Cart form. |
| After the short description | Between the short product description and the purchasing area in most themes. |
| After the product meta | After product information such as the SKU, categories and tags. |
| At the bottom of the product summary | At the end of the primary product-summary column. |
“Below the Add to Cart area” works well with most themes. Exact visual placement can vary when a theme replaces or rearranges standard WooCommerce hooks.
7. Sales boosters
Sales boosters display optional activity and urgency messages near the product purchasing area. All enabled boosters appear together at the selected booster position.
7.1 Live viewers
Displays a message such as:
12 visitors are viewing this product!
Choose the minimum and maximum numbers used by the message. The number changes periodically in the visitor’s browser.
The viewer number is an estimate, not a live analytics measurement. Choose a believable range and use this feature transparently.
7.2 Ships-today countdown
Displays a countdown before your configured dispatch cutoff:
Fast Shipping! Ships TODAY if ordered in: 2 hours 14 min.
Configure:
- Your dispatch cutoff time
- The days on which your store dispatches orders
- The shared booster position
The countdown uses the timezone configured under WordPress → Settings → General. After the cutoff or on a non-working day, the plugin displays a general safe-delivery message instead.
The shipping booster is hidden for out-of-stock products.
7.3 Low-stock message
Displays a message such as:
Selling fast! Only 8 left in stock
- If WooCommerce manages stock for the product, the plugin uses the real quantity.
- If the tracked quantity is above the configured ceiling, the message is hidden.
- If WooCommerce does not manage stock for the product, a stable per-product estimate is used.
- The message is hidden for out-of-stock products.
7.4 Past-purchase message
Displays the product’s real WooCommerce sales total:
1.2K+ people already purchased this product!
Use the minimum-sales setting to prevent the message from appearing until the product reaches a specified number of purchases.
7.5 Booster position
All enabled boosters are displayed together. Use Booster position to place the group above, below or inside the WooCommerce product summary.
8. Payment icons
The payment-icons bar tells customers which payment methods your store accepts.
- Open the Payment icons tab.
- Enable Show the payment icons bar.
- Enter an optional heading.
- Choose the badge height.
- Select how many icons should appear per line.
- Select the product-page position.
- Tick the payment methods your store accepts.
- Upload custom payment images if required.
- Save your changes.
8.1 Built-in payment methods
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
- Maestro
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Amazon Pay
- Shop Pay
- Klarna
- Stripe
- JCB
- UnionPay
- Bitcoin
- Bank transfer
- Cash on delivery
8.2 Payment heading
The default heading is:
Guaranteed safe & secure checkout
Leave this field empty to display only the payment icons.
8.3 Badge size and wrapping
- Badge height — accepts a value from 16px to 60px.
- All in one line — allows all selected icons to appear in one row when space permits.
- Icons per line — select between one and eight icons per row.
8.4 Custom payment icons
Use Upload your own to add payment methods or guarantee marks that are not included in the built-in collection.
- Custom icons are selected from the WordPress Media Library.
- Up to eight custom icons can be added.
- Use small, clearly readable images with consistent proportions.
- Add alternative text in the Media Library when the image conveys meaningful information.
Only display payment methods that are actually available during checkout. Showing unsupported payment methods can reduce customer trust.
9. Styling the trust bar
Open the Style tab to match the trust bar to your WooCommerce theme.
9.1 Icon settings
- Icon size — accepts values from 16px to 80px.
- Line thickness — accepts values from 1 to 3.
- Icon color — sets the line color for every trust icon.
- Plain style — displays the line icon without a background.
- Chip style — places the icon inside a soft, rounded background.
- Chip background — controls the background color used by the Chip style.
9.2 Text settings
- Heading size — accepts values from 10px to 24px.
- Heading color — controls the main text color.
- Sub-text color — controls the supporting text color.
9.3 Framing
- Hairline rules above and below — separates the trust bar from nearby product content.
- Wrap it in a card — adds a rounded, bordered container around the trust bar.
- Card background — controls the card’s background color.
- Border color — controls the card border or divider color.
When the card option is enabled, it replaces the simple hairline-divider presentation.
For a cohesive design, consider matching the trust-icon color to your WooCommerce Add to Cart button.
10. Shortcodes
10.1 Trust-bar shortcode
Use the following shortcode to place the configured trust bar manually:
[gpti_trust_icons]
The shortcode can be added to a page, post, shortcode block, template or compatible page-builder element.
The shortcode uses your saved trust items, layout and styling.
10.2 Payment-icons shortcode
Use the following shortcode to place the configured payment-icons bar manually:
[gpti_trust_payments]
The payment-icons bar must be enabled and contain at least one selected or uploaded icon before this shortcode produces output.
10.3 Shortcode example
<div class="product-guarantees">
[gpti_trust_icons]
[gpti_trust_payments]
</div>
The sales boosters do not have a shortcode. They use the product-page placement selected under the Boosters tab.
11. Performance and cache compatibility
- The shared front-end stylesheet is loaded only on WooCommerce product pages when a trust bar or payment bar is in use.
- The booster script is loaded only when at least one booster is enabled.
- Trust icons use inline SVG markup and do not require separate icon-image requests.
- Built-in payment images are served locally from the plugin.
- Time-sensitive viewer and shipping information is generated in the browser.
- The booster output is designed to remain compatible with full-page caching.
- No front-end request is made to a third-party analytics or tracking service.
The estimated viewer count updates every 15 seconds. The shipping countdown updates every 30 seconds.

13. Troubleshooting
- The trust bar is not visible: Confirm that WooCommerce is active, the trust bar is enabled, at least one non-empty item exists and you are viewing a single product page.
- The payment icons are not visible: Enable the payment-icons bar and select at least one built-in or custom icon.
- The boosters are not visible: Confirm that the required booster is enabled and that its product conditions are satisfied.
- The shipping countdown shows a general delivery message: Check the site timezone, working days and dispatch cutoff. The countdown only appears before the cutoff on selected working days.
- The shipping message is missing: It is automatically hidden for out-of-stock products.
- The low-stock message is missing: If WooCommerce manages stock, the quantity may be above your configured ceiling or the product may be out of stock.
- The purchase message is missing: The product’s total sales may be below the configured minimum.
- The shortcode displays nothing: Confirm that the relevant section contains configured items. The payment shortcode also requires the payment bar to be enabled.
- The placement looks different from the preview: Your theme may rearrange or override standard WooCommerce product hooks.
- Colors do not match the settings: Inspect the product page for highly specific theme CSS and override it using the plugin’s CSS selectors.
- Custom payment images are not available: Confirm that the files are valid WordPress Media Library image attachments.
- Changes do not appear immediately: Clear any page cache, object cache, CDN cache or browser cache used by the website.
14. Privacy and security
- No visitor accounts or personal information are collected by the plugin.
- No cookies are created by the plugin.
- No front-end analytics or tracking service is used.
- Trust icons are rendered locally as inline SVG.
- Built-in payment icons are served locally from the plugin.
- Viewer estimates and shipping countdowns are generated in the visitor’s browser.
- The viewer booster does not measure or identify real visitors.
- Administrative settings require the
manage_optionscapability. - Settings requests use WordPress nonce verification.
- All saved settings are validated and sanitized on the server.
- Front-end values are escaped before output.
14.1 WordPress.org administration request
When the shared GoalPrevail Plugins dashboard is opened, the plugin may query the official WordPress.org plugin API to list other plugins published by GoalPrevail.
- The request occurs only in the WordPress administration area.
- It is not made from customer-facing product pages.
- The result is cached for up to 24 hours.
- The query sends the public WordPress.org author name and no customer information.
15. Uninstalling the plugin
- Deactivate the plugin to stop its product-page output.
- Delete the plugin from the WordPress Plugins page when it is no longer required.
- The uninstall process removes the plugin’s saved settings.
- The cached GoalPrevail WordPress.org catalogue is also removed.
On WordPress Multisite, uninstall cleanup is performed for every site on which the plugin could have stored its settings.
Deleting the plugin permanently removes the gpti_settings option. Export or record any settings you may want to recreate before deleting it.
